Pacific Ship Repair and Fabrication, Inc. (PACSHIP) maintains ship repair
facilities in Southern California and Washington State, and is one of the
few privately-held ship repair firms remaining on the West Coast of the USA.
PACSHIP has been in existence since 1969, serving the needs of the
US Navy and a variety of other military and commercial customers. Although
we routinely repair nuclear aircraft carriers, we also provide precision water-jet
cutting services to small contractors, powder coat wheels for custom motorcycles
and fabricate sheetmetal products for local manufacturers. PACSHIP also
manufactures water-tight closures including doors, hatches and manholes for the
shipbuilding and repair industry. We do all of the things that the big companies
do but, at PACSHIP, you can meet with the company owner anytime you feel a
need to.
PACSHIP offers high quality personal service at all levels of engagement with
the customer. At PACSHIP, every project is important and will be managed
and completed on time and on budget; with quality workmanship guaranteed.
PACSHIP is a NAVSEA-certified Master Ship Repair Contractor qualified
to manage a wide variety of Government contract vehicles. PACSHIP also
maintains one of the most stringent Quality Management Systems (QMS) in
the industry, certified to ISO 9001-2008 standards and, since we have only one
QMS, the same high quality standards apply whether we are working on a
nuclear aircraft carrier or a powder coated cabinet. PACSHIP works closely
with the United States Coast Guard and the American Bureau of Shipping
(ABS) to ensure that all work performed meets all American and International
requirements.
PACSHIP facilities are strategically located to support the U.S. Navy. Our
smaller size and mobility prove advantageous to our customers since our
workforce is trained to respond both quickly and properly equipped to planned
and emergency repair requirements at locations remote to our shipyards.
PACSHIP provides ship-riders and fly-away teams as needed to support the
operating requirements of our customers.
PACSHIP is ready when you are!
Due to the complex technologies employed in today’s ship repair industry, no ship repair
contractor can afford to maintain all required technical capabilities in house. PACSHIP
employs subcontractors in many areas of our business and is always looking to hire those
subcontractors who can offer PACSHIP and our customer the right mix of experience,
quality and pricing for the job at hand.
If your company is interested in joining our list of qualified subcontractors, becoming
a PACSHIP subcontractor is easy as long as you have the skills, experience, and
certifications to do the work.
For further information on subcontracting opportunities at PACSHIP, please contact Mr.
Gary Thomas, Director of Contracts, at (619) 232-3200 x121 or gthomas@pacship.com.
PACSHIP Purchase Orders for supplies and/or services are subject to PACSHIP’s “Purchase Order General Terms & Conditions and Special Terms & Conditions” (T’s & C’s). The Insurance Clause of the PO General Terms & Conditions identifies insurance requirements. PACSHIP also requires the submission of “Supplier Annual Representations and Certifications”. PDF copies of the T's & C's can be accessed by clicking on the link herein. The "Supplier Annual Representations and Certifications" document can be completed and printed on your printer. Depending on the nature of the services your company provides, a Quality Management System audit and/or an Environmental, Health and Safety Management System audit may be required.
These documents will be modified
from time to time due to the requirements of a specific contract or change in regulations.
PACSHIP is constantly seeking qualified vendors to support the material requirements of our numerous ongoing programs and maintains a list of qualified vendors. However, due to the many differences in material requirements from customer to customer and program to program, all material requirements and opportunities for supply need to be assessed on a contract by contract basis. Please contact Mr. Charlie Jenkins, Purchasing Manager, at (619) 232- 3200 x202 or cjenkins@pacship.com for further information regarding vendor opportunities at PACSHIP.
